Very minor cycling accident
April 15th, 2007 . by ImshinI was far too tired to ride to work today. I didn’t get much sleep last night. One of those nights. It happens.
But seeing as I’ve just opened my cycling to work season, I wasn’t to be deterred, by something as unimportant as sheer exhaustion. I thought the maximum that could happen would be that it might be a little difficult. And the way there was fine.
Looking up to see myself sailing straight into a big nasty electricity pole, on the way home, I realized that riding so tired also somewhat impairs my judgment.
Splat.
Just my luck, it happened outside a restaurant. The bastards just sat there munching away on their pita with hummus and stared at me as I picked myself and my bike up, fixed the chain, hopped on and shakily rode away.
Oh people are going to find this impressive bruise on my cheekbone highly interesting tomorrow. Especially when I explain that “I bumped into a pole”. I’ve already warned Bish he’d better head for the hills for a few days.
